Meet the Author
Pastor's daughter Dee Henderson is a lifelong resident of Illinois, USA, and currently resides in Springfield. She believes that marketing books should be about the stories rather than the writer, so she keeps a low profile compared to many authors. Her background is in mathematics and computing science (B.Sc 1988) and she had a high paying job as an engineer before she moved into full-time writing in 1996. Her technical expertise has given her an unusually keen insight into the structural aspects of storytelling. The results are plain to see; since 1999, Dee has produced two bestselling fiction series - the acclaimed O'Malley series and Uncommon Heroes - as well as eleven stand-alone titles.
Dee's books brilliantly mix suspense and romance, and her characters undergo varied and interesting faith journeys that are integrated skillfully into the storylines. Dee's work has won or been nominated for several prestigious industry awards including the RWA's RITA Award, the Christy Award, the ECPA Gold Medallion, the Holt Medallion, the National Readers' Choice Award, and the Golden Quill.

LOVED IT!! Wow! I was blown away at how much I loved this novel!! I fell in love with Marcus and Shari. Marcus is the protective type and he had me swooning more than once! Shari is the 'victim' but possesses a quiet strength. I mean, if I went through everything she did, I'm not sure I would've made it. I loved how the elements of faith were touched on. If you are genuinely looking for answers that Marcus was looking for, then this novel is perfect for you. The secondary characters were also lovely. The plot came together fabulously and I was furiously turning the pages to see what would happen next! Can I mention that this novel won a Christy award?!! Does that convince you to get this novel? This is a must read!! I very highly recommend this novel!!
The Guardian (#02 in O'Malley Series) great book so happy up to the next book really glad i got the series
Each of the books in this series focuses on one of the O'Malley family. In The Guardian we read about Marcus and Shari. Their high risk jobs and underlying love interest in each other gives this story an edge of your seat appeal. I enjoyed how these characters continue to pop up in the next novels of the series.
This book must have been one of my favourites from the O'Malley series - once you start reading this one, you cannot put it down! It is an attention-grabbing book that keeps you in suspense until the very end - a must-read for sure!
The Guardian is the second of six books (not including the prequel Danger in the Shadows) in the O'Malley series by Dee Henderson. Marcus is a US Marshall, charged with protecting prominent figures and political targets. when a federal judge is murdered, his speechwriter Shari, is in the room during the shooting. As the only eye-witness, her life is suddenly plunged into danger and Marcus is called on to protect her. As Marcus and Shari being to acknowledge the feelings between them, they must also weigh up the risks of love in such an intense situation. Dee Henderson has again written a brilliant novel, showing behind-the-scenes of the US Marshall department. This story was riveting and attention grabbing from the first pages - I highly recommend this novel.
