The Heir

Paul Robertson

Wealth. Fame.
Power. Murder.

Jason Boyer Just Got an Inheritance to Die For

The Boyer business empire was supposed to pass to different hands. Which suited Jason just fine. The money was crooked and the power corrupt. But then an accident claim's his father' life, and when the will is read, Jason is named heir.

Now power-hungry politicians and shady business partners all are trying to force Jason's hand. He wants only to be a better man than his father was--but attempting to stand for what's right soon brings murderous consequences.

As those closest to him are endangered--and news emerges that his father's accident may be something more sinister--Jason finds himself fighting for his soul...and his life!

"In The Heir, Paul Robertson serves up politics, privilege, and murder with a side of acerbic wit. What a fabulous book--a great mix of angst, humor, and, ultimately, hope."

Not the norm, but well worth reading!
5 stars By Wendy, Jul 25 2013
This is not your average 'Christian' novel. There is little direct reference to God or people praying, nor are there any chunks of Scripture quoted, yet the message comes through load and clear that God and God alone is the ONLY answer to all life's questions.
The author clearly and skilfully portrays the evil nature his 'bad' characters without resorting to foul language, graphic, sordid behaviour or gratuitous violence that is so prevalent in 'mainstream' novels. He also treats his readers with respect for their intelligence by not always 'connecting the dots', and allows room for reflection on the deeper issues. The plot moves along at a cracking pace and the ending is satisfying without all that sappy sentimentality that too many Christian novels seem to have.
A brilliant first novel from this author!
