Paperback
Only 5 percent of senior pastors consider themselves gifted leaders. That doesn't surprise church consultant Henry Klopp. Most seminaries fail to teach pastors the day-to-day leadership skills that they will need on the job. And books on leadership often contradict one another. In "The Leadership Playbook," Klopp cuts through the confusion, showing readers which leadership theories work and which do not. Klopp's research, combined with biblical insights and real-world examples, show readers how to: ouse their unique personalities to become effective leaders, not managers ounderstand what "servant leadership" really means odevelop an effective leadership structure to expand their church or ministry oavoid obstacles that often derail Christian leaders With reflection questions at the end of each chapter, "The Leadership Playbook" is the perfect resource for pastors, ministry students, and lay leaders.

- Publisher Power up for maximum impact with leadership strategies from Scripture and straight-talk mentoring by a seasoned church consultant and ex-coach.

- Publisher A respected pastor leaves the church for a secular vocation. A building project fails. A congregation's numbers dwindle rapidly. As a church consultant, Henry Klopp has seen all three happen as a result of poor leadership. In The Leadership Playbook, Klopp uses real-life stories and biblical insights to show church leaders which leadership techniques work and which do not. Case studies, statistics, and reflection questions show you how to exchange an unhealthy style of management for a dynamic form of leadership. If you are looking to grow your congregation, resolve conflict, or just gain a better understanding of God's design for leadership, this book will give you the encouragement and energy you need."Some authors write from their experience alone, others from their predictions. Dr. Henry Klopp is one of few able to write with hindsight, insight, and foresight. The words he writes are more than knowledge; they are a passionate discourse to the hearts of leaders for whom he cares deeply."-Joe Woodruff, president, Next! Innovations, Inc."Henry Klopp has provided a biblical roadmap for team building. This book will provide invaluable insights for any church leader who wants to build an effective ministry team."-Stan Toler, pastor, author, The Cycle of Victorious Giving and The Secret Blend"This vibrant new resource is one that you must put on your reading list this year.
