:(worried) What do we do now?
(upset) I don?t know. This is just awful!
(distressed) Things like this aren?t supposed to happen!
(troubled) I just don?t understand how this could have happened!
(nervous) So, what do we do now?
I guess all we can do is pray.
Why is that our last resort? It should have been the first thing we did when we got here.
You?re right. So, let?s pray. Let?s do it now.
Uh, so ? do we just go somewhere else ? each of us by ourselves?
(firm) Well, I?m certainly not going to let you listen in on my prayers.
(rolling eyes) Don?t worry, I wouldn?t want to, believe me.
Well, prayer is a personal thing, so I guess we all just say a prayer privately. We don?t have to go anywhere.
The Bible tells us that God promises that when two or more gather in His name, He will be with them. 1
So, we should pray together then ? out loud?
Yes, out loud.
Well, who wants to say the prayer?
But we should all say something, shouldn?t we?
I don?t know how to pray in front of people. It?s just weird.
No kidding, I don?t even know a couple of you.
It doesn?t have to be weird. We don?t even have to know each other. We all know the same prayer.
(surprised) We do?
Like what?
What prayer? Like God is great, God is good, let us thank Him for our food?
(annoyed) That?s not funny. This is serious!
(frustrated) That?s right, what?s happening is terrible, so stop joking around.
Sorry, you?re right.
God taught us how to pray. We all know the Lord?s Prayer, 2 don?t we?
I know it.
Yeah, me too.
Yes, I guess we all do, or at least we should.
So, let?s say it now.
Come on, everyone.
So, are we ready?
(bowing heads all reader's together) Our father who art in heaven ?
