As she works closely with Ranulf, Annabel begins to feel safe and protected, but will she realize the calling of her heart before it's too late?^^

^An unthinkable danger. An unexpected choice.

^ ^Annabel, once the daughter of a wealthy merchant, is trapped in indentured servitude to Lord Ranulf, a recluse who is rumored to be both terrifying and beastly. Her circumstances are made even worse by the proximity of Lord Ranulf's bailiff - a revolting man who has made unwelcome advances on Annabel in the past.

^ ^Believing that life in a nunnery is the best way to escape the escalation of the bailiff's vile behavior and to preserve the faith that sustains her, Annabel is surprised to discover a sense of security and joy in her encounters with Lord Ranulf. As Annabel struggles to confront her feelings, she is involved in a situation that could place Ranulf in grave danger. Ranulf's future, and possibly his heart, may rest in her hands, and Annabel must decide whether to follow the plans she has cherished or the calling God has placed on her heart.^^

Engaging every single time!
5 stars By Mezza, Dec 24 2017
I have read this book more than three times, and I've been engrossed by this charming story every single time! Beauty is a curse... A beautiful maiden thrust into unwanted circumstances. A gentle, tormented man. Beastly? Cursed? Some wonder... but will the wondering turn into something much more dangerous and sinister? Loved how God worked through them and in them; letting them love once again. Dickerson has again done a wonderful job with this sweet romance!

Annabelle = Beauty, Ranulf = Beast
5 stars By Joy, Oct 03 2017
When Annabelle Chapman's family are in debt, Annabelle has two choices. She has to either repay Lord Ranulf for the amount of work her family did not do by being a servant for three years without payment, or marry the old, ugly, Baliff Tom. Can you guess the option she picked? Yes, she would rather be a servant. As she works she meets Lord Ranulf, at first he is mean and rude but soon Lord Ranulf's attitude changes as he spends more time with the kind, gentle girl. But will he care for her enough to risk his life to save her when she is in danger?

One beauty... no beast?
5 stars By Grace, Aug 23 2017
Want to hear a story of a beast? Well, he may be beastly at times, but who would ever wonder he'd lay down his life for... Annabel. Ranulf, a new lord who terrifies everyone, realizes that nobody can live a life without love. Remembering his past, he casts aside love and earns a lonely life, always stalking the woods at night. But even he, can't stop Annabel from melting his stone heart. Read this awesome tale and discover what God has planned for Annabel's life.

Beauty and the beast retelling
5 stars By Joy, Jan 10 2017
Crash! Crackle the barn is on fire. Uh-oh Bailiff Tom is approaching. Did the door just creak open? Who's that lurking in the shadows? This amazing story has blooming love sprouting from every sentence. A beastly lord? Got that. A pretty maiden? Got that. Stinging nettles? Got it. A goat called Dilly? Yup, got it too. This is a thrilling book that's tempting to pick up, but difficult to put down. I recommend this book for anyone who would be interested in an upgraded version of Beauty and the beast. I hope Melanie writes more!
