Great Reference Atlas
5 stars By MatthewT, Jun 13 2016
The atlas by Beitzel is written to largely follow the biblical text from Genesis to Revelation. Within this are included key extra-biblical history and events as they relate to the biblical story. The atlas is a combination of writing and maps and diagrams and photos. The style of writing is largely narrated writing. The atlas can be read through, however is more likely better served as a reference book as required for looking up specific questions.

Beitzel interprets and writes on history and archaeology from a conservative, evangelical Christian perspective.

The atlas includes many high quality colour photographs, maps, and diagrams. The entire book is full colour.

References are used heavily but are in "end note" format, so do not clutter the main book.

Some sections are very fact based and some readers may find them less interesting (e.g. weather information). All sections have an important purpose, however may not be engaging reading for all.

An excellent reference book to add to the library for when an atlas is required.
