Superbly illustrated and text is true to the Bible!
5 stars By Stephen, Oct 03 2016
56 stories from Creation to the Ascension of Christ. The illustrations are superb and (without depicting violence) unusually accurate and realistic - (as they should be, if we want children to regard Bible stories as real rather than fairy stories!). There are pictures of Christ, but they are not prominent, and are a refreshing change from the fair-skinned, long-haired, elaborately-dressed image of many Bible story pictures. The text is very substantial and includes much Biblical detail, making this book suitable for an older age range (read to ages 6-9 years, read myself 7-11 years) and family reading. We have used this book to read to our own children, and also passed on copies to other families. If you want something authentic that kids won't think is silly when they get older, this is definitely recommended!
