It gives not only theological answers but real-life stories of how the best parts of the ancient habits of the church can re-emerge in today's culture. Mission is going, incarnation is how we go
4 stars By Jono, Oct 03 2016
This book from Hugh Halter is sure to shake you up before gently putting you on a solid foundation for incarnational, Jesus-shaped, missional living. Halter does not shy away from some harsh realities about the Church in the western world. However, this prophetic voice, while uncomfortable at times, comes from a place of desiring to see the Church exist in a more biblical, Christ-like, and tangible way in our neighbourhoods. Halter speaks from his own experience of being a traditional pastor, before planting missional communities throughout Denver, CO. His experience of speaking to those who are yet to follow Jesus about the Kingdom is inspiring and provides real, practical insights into missional living and creating missional communities in your own neighbourhoods. This is an honest look at the Church, at pastoral ministry, and at the difficulty and joy of follow Jesus in the neighbourhood.
