Best Novel
5 stars By Christine, Jul 18 2017
I am a huge Denise Hunter fan but have to say this is probably her best novel. The main characters in the book, Dylan and Annie are people who you can easily relate too. Within the first couple of chapters I was engrossed in their stories and didn't want to put the book down. I have read it several times, which is not something I normally do with a novel but there is a specialness about it that makes you want to go back and read it time and time again. If Im not feeling well or just need some "me" time, this will often be my "go too" novel. Highly recommend it to anyone who likes, clean, wholesome Christian romance stories but ones that still have substance to the stories

Cowboys and Montana
4 stars By Jessica R Wakefield, Jan 07 2013
I've been waiting for ages for the latest Denise Hunter book to be released and then have to wait for it to arrive on our Aussie shores - it's been a while and I've been needing my Denise Hunter romance fix all year. I got it with the final installment of the Big Sky Romance Series.

So the trouble for Annie is that Dylan's a cowboy and for Annie that's a big fat no-no. Trouble is they have chemistry and Dylan won't stop flirting with her and Annie likes it - it just takes her forever to figure it out and then admit it!

The romantic tension between these two characters is great; their chemistry just bounces off the walls. I kinda fell in love with Dylan's dimpled grin myself for a little while. Watching him fall for Annie without realizing it was a real treat too. Watching Annie struggle with her attraction was kinda of fascinating - she knew what he was (a cowboy) but not WHO he was and her conflicting emotions was really well played out.

My only qualm with the book is the circumstances ultimately keeping them from finding true happiness was not as compelling as I would have liked. In short the problem was not big enough or impossible enough to overcome. They did overcome it - this is a romance people - and I'm glad they did; it just wasn't as hard as I thought it should be! Don't worry though, I was rooting for them all the same. Who couldn't have after meeting Dylan?

I'm sad to see the end of this series as I really enjoyed Montana and Moose Creek and the people I met there.

It'll be a long wait for Ms Hunter's next book that's for sure!

Cowboy romance
5 stars By Ausjenny, Nov 14 2012
This is the third book in this series and I have enjoyed them all. If you haven't read the other two you will still be able to follow this book as a read alone story. The book revolves around Annie and Dylan, both has issues from their pasts they are dealing with. Annie the fact her father was a cowboy and left her and her sister when they were young. Dylan with a former girlfriend that crushed his heart. Neither want to love the other for these reasons. We see with Annie how the past can play a huge factor in not only her life but the life of her sister and we also see how past hurt can make a person not want to go where they may be hurt again even if it means missing out on what could be the love of their lives. I enjoyed the way Denise wrote this book and let us see how our lives can be affected by past issues and also show how we can deal with them too. We also see how Annie is trying to live up to a promise to her grandfather about looking after her sister but in the same time she seems to not be listening to what her sister is saying. It shows how sometimes we need to not decided for another person but listen to what they say and validate it. I could relate to the sister in this way as I have had someone try to make me do what they thought was best for me without considering if it was what I wanted to do.
