Inspiring fiction
5 stars By Josh, Jun 26 2017
It's only fiction, but it holds a great piece of truth as well - there is a spiritual battle going on around us and we are supposed to be fighting in the war. Well written, inspiring, edge or your seat stuff. I love this book firstly because as a novel goes, it is simply fantastic. But it also holds another level, and that is Frank Peretti has gone out of his way to make people think about the battle raging around us and the part we play in it. This book will both entertain you and challenge you.

Spooky
5 stars By Jacky Jackson, Mar 05 2013
Frank Peretti's series beginning with "This Present Darkness" is the answer to the Christian who loves Horror flicks.
We have dozey "on the prairie historic lil Amish girl stories for Christian Chics who would otherwise read Mills and Boon... all very acceptable...
Peretti is your time, "Horror" people.
Well written compelling stuff- tying in a good vs evil slant to make it "Religiously " acceptable.
Personally I found it a little hair raising and strong stuff- I am not a horror freak at all... but to be fair, those that are, adore these writings.
It's a lil skewed and "demon chasing" at the expense of scripture but if you love horror, like thousands that have gone before, you will love this. Excellent writer.

Spiritual eye opener
5 stars By Keli, May 22 2009
This is my most favourite book by Frank Peretti. It completely opened up my eyes to the spiritual realms in the form of a novel. It shows what's happening in the natural, but also on both sides of the spiritual world at the same time. Makes you really stop and think about the spiritual realm that surrounds us just beyond our view. A definite must read. Also see the sequel - Piercing the Darkness.
