'Til Grits Do Us Part (#03 in Southern Fried Sushi Series)

Jennifer Rogers Spinola

Shiloh is planning her wedding, hiding from her past—and dodging a stalker. With a madman determined to stop her wedding, Shiloh’s on the run!

Shiloh Jacobs is planning her wedding without family, without money, and without a clue—and trying to make a go of small-town Southern life. Until she stumbles on an unsolved case about a missing woman that makes her run in the opposite direction—right into the would-be killer’s web of plans. In the midst of sorting through her tragic past and strained relationships, Shiloh finds herself on the run from a madman—and hoping she can make it to her wedding alive.

In Book 3 of the Southern Fried Sushi series, Shiloh Jacobs is planning her wedding, hiding from her past—and dodging a stalker. When the madman threatens to stop her wedding at any cost, Shiloh wonders if small-town life is more trouble than she anticipated.

It’s all coming up roses.

Or it should be. Engaged to the last man she’d ever thought possible, Shiloh Jacobs is making a go of small-town life in rural Staunton, Virginia—writing again, planning a wedding, and about to sell the house that will make her dreams come true.

But instead of pre-wedded bliss, Shiloh finds herself virtually alone in Redneckville with no family to help her, no money, and no time to plan a wedding. Especially a wedding to a man as different as Adam Carter.

While covering an unsolved news case about a missing woman, things go from bad to worse for Shiloh—starting with mysterious rose bouquets and disturbing letters that link to her mother’s past. The more Shiloh tries to put her mother’s troubled history behind her, the more tangled in the case—and in the stalker’s sights—Shiloh becomes.

Forced to face her past secrets while on the run from a madman, can Shiloh identify the stalker before he strikes again? And as one dream after another falls flat, can she and Adam put aside their differences before it’s too late?

Action Packed Finale
4 stars By Margot, May 10 2013
In this Third and final book in the "Southern Fried Sushi" series, Jennifer Rogers Spinola extends her literary genre from romantic comedy to mystery-action-suspense-thriller, as our heroine, Shiloh P. Jacobs, gets entwined with a bizarre stalker. As any true journalist would, she investigates many suspects, trying to put the pieces of a complex puzzle together and stay alive to tell the story. All the old favorite characters are back - Kyoko, the crazy Goth friend from Japan; Becky, the true Southerner; Stella, the ever protective neighbor - and we meet lots of new characters, most of them with potential to be the stalker. All is revealed in the end, with a very satisfying conclusion to the three books. Highly recommended, although not the best of the three.

Solid End to Series
4 stars By Iola, Nov 26 2012
'Til Grits Do Us Part is the final book in Jennifer Rogers Spinola's debut Southern Fried Sushi series. Shiloh has a wedding to plan, a car in dire need of repair, no money and a fianc who hasn't even kissed her yet, (just in case doesn't have enough problems already) she also appears to have a stalker who sends her red roses with creepy notes. The stalker then goes one step further, and starts leaving threatening messages for her friends. I really enjoyed the passages where Shiloh was reminiscing about her time in Japan. Even though I've never been there, I could understand her feelings. After all, at some point or another, we all have to say goodbye to someone or something we love, often before we're actually ready. The pace felt much faster than in the previous books, and the number of characters and subplots made it harder to follow. For this reason, while the novel was enjoyable enough, I think it was the weakest of the trilogy. However, I will still look forward to new books from this author.
