Paperback

What is the biggest casualty of your busy life? Is it Creativity? Serenity? Intimacy? Do you have a rich soul despite being time-poor? Or have you lost (or never had) that inner contentment?

TIME POOR SOUL RICH explores 16 casualties of a busy life that can be soul enriching if not ignored. Author Anne Winckel appreciates many women have little if any discretionary time, and in this remarkable book shows time-poor women how to move back into a habit of caring for themselves - rather than assuming they need to take time off from work to elevate their well-being out of survival mode.

Each chapter provides sixty-second solutions for busy women to re-engage with various casualties of life and so nurture a rich soul. Anne also explores obstacles to soul enrichment such as guilt and self-sabotage.

"The price we pay for excellent time management training can sometimes be the soul enrichment we then neglect."

This book is collated wisdom from the author's family, friends and acquaintances, and from her own life's journey. For over 25 years, Anne has been fascinated by the journey that women travel in business and in the professions - with juggling acts often at circus-level proficiency. Anne tells the stories of a number of these women - sharing both their successes and their struggles.
TIME POOR SOUL RICH combines a light-hearted and whimsical tone with a serious look at the issues that challenge the well-being of professional women.

"There is nothing quite like this book, offering hope and wisdom to busy working women..."
- Kara Martin, Associate Dean, Marketplace Institute, Ridley College

"I am often distracted by the feeling of being committed to everything but doing nothing well. Anne has provided a rich resource to replenish, nurture and integrate our 'self' with the amazing capacity we, professional women, deploy every day."
- Claire Rogers, Senior Banking Executive and Director.

"For the first time, I have found a fabulous new book which captures in an easy-to-read format two of the greatest passions in my life - the development of women as leaders plus answers to the topic of how do we nourish our souls? Every woman who is a worker, every family who support and encourage the woman leaders in their midst and every employer of women and men will find this more like a road map for life than a book. Anne Winckel's Time Poor, Soul Rich provides readers with practical ways to navigate through the challenges of modern living, I recommend you get the book so you can unlock a powerhouse of wisdom into your life."
- Wendy Simpson OAM, Chairman Wengeo Group Pty Ltd, Australian Businesswomen's Hall of Fame Inductee.

"Anne has written a deeply engaging and personal book that is warm, optimistic and full of whimsy and humour. Any busy professional (men too!) will almost certainly recognise themselves in the real-life stories recounted by Anne. A dose of TPSR is uplifting; you will put the book down with a smile on your face, ready to face the world."
- Fiona Patrick, Company Director and Management Consultant.

An Easy-To-Read Book!
5 stars By Ann, Apr 14 2015
I have just read Anne Winckel's book, Time Poor Soul Rich. This an easy-to-read book with many very workable remedies for 'Time Poor' professional women (and men !). It is a book to have at hand, to pick up when you have a moment. It doesn't have to be read from the front cover to the back-pick out which chapter deals with your particular problem at that time. Read the 60 second solutions, and then later, go to the lengthier ones. However, I would suggest that you go back and read the rest of the chapters at another time.
There are many inspiring stories from 'Time Poor' women, telling how they dealt with their problems, and these will give you some very good ideas and solutions.
Even those of you who think you don't have a problem-read the book and you will find ways to enhance your quality of life. As an older woman, long retired, I didn't think this book would apply to me, but I was inspired to go straight to the phone to ring friends and invite them for a meal. Most of us are guilty of making our lives so busy that we become 'soul poor'. Read and find out how to remedy this. I can thoroughly recommend this book.

A significant publication for busy women
4 stars By Kara, Feb 16 2015
Anne Winckel is a dynamic person, and this book draws on all her experiences living as a visible Christian in corporate life. It is not just a book that informs, the stories of real women will challenge and encourage every reader. It is too easy to be distracted by the struggles of working life from the core of our relationship with God. Anne has wonderful ideas for reconnecting with the God who enables us to do all things for him, through his strength (Philippians 4:13).

A timely work and a must read!
5 stars By Susan, Feb 14 2015
Thank you Anne Winckel for reminding us all to nourish our souls and for giving such practical steps towards enrichment. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this book to anyone. Especially to those who find themselves having a persistent thought in the midst of busy schedules and multiple commitments that there should be more to life. Listen to that whisper and read this book. The author clearly demonstrates that there can be more to our lives and shows us how even a mere 60 seconds of reflection can benefit the way we live, love and work.

Essential reading
4 stars By Lydia, Feb 12 2015
I found this book enlightening but also encouraging. Written by an obviously busy woman who knows that it is important not only to be in close communion with God through the Bible and prayer, but also the need to fit in other activities that enrich your soul. The book is not just about her but includes the stories of about 30 other women. Each one describes both their struggles and how each of them regained a soul-rich life. A book just to read or refer to depending on which of the casualties you identify with.

What a refreshing read!
5 stars By Tanya, Feb 11 2015
How refreshing to read a book that encourages, informs and entertains. Anne Winckel's book Time Poor Soul Rich is wisdom for the 21st century busy woman. Anne examines the casualties of a busy life, such as time to be sociable, and then offers 60 second solutions as to how to re-engage with these casualties. The chapter headings promise a lightness of being, and topics such as Generosity and Vitality are discussed.
This book is easy to read, with case studies to illustrate her point as well as charming photographs which reflect how
it was about 70-100 years ago and now. This is a book to dip into, savour the reflection, and re-engage at a later time. Just right for a busy woman who intuitively feels that she is missing out on areas that give pleasure and richness to life.
