To Love Anew (#01 in Sydney Cove Series)

Hannah Talbot has no one. Forced to leave the only home she's ever known, she works for a cruel employer who brutally takes the one thing she has left--her dignity. When she is banished from London, she is certain God has turned his back on her.

John Bradshaw was a successful businessman whose untamed spirit sometimes wanted more. When he is betrayed by those closest to him, he loses everything--his wife, his business, even his freedom. John's and Hannah's paths are about to cross. Aboard a ghastly, nineteenth-century prison ship from London to Australia, John and Hannah must keep hope alive and trust God's unconditional love.

Sensational... a Tour de Force
5 stars By Tony, Nov 15 2013
To Love Anew took me by surprise. I don't normally read "romance" novels but this is so much more. This is a story with strong, well written characters and a wonderfully well developed plot. The description of the convict period is so well written that I could easily picture the events as I read about them in the book. One of the great things is the way that Bonnie Leon reveals God in the story. This story is strongly biblical based and shows how God is every situation even if it doesn't seem like He is there. So this is more than just romance it is also an historical novel and strongly Christian. My recommendation is to read To Love Anew as soon as you can. This is one book that I couldn't put down and is a real page turner. One last thing that I will mention is that it is great to see such a well written work being set in Australia. Be like me be pleasantly surprised (over joyed) as you read this book even if "romance" isn't normally your thing I think you'll love it as much as I do.

The author has combined some thought provoking history of the convict era in this book with a romantic story. Another well written book by Bonnie Leon, keeping me interested until the end. Look forward to reading more by this author.

To love Anew
3 stars By Bee, Jan 10 2013
'To love Anew' was an interesting book, very different from you normal romance novel. It had a great funny story line, a bit of sadness and a wonderful happy ending. An enjoyable read.
