Powerful Biography
5 stars By Jacqui, Jul 01 2016
Jimmy Wayne's life testifies to the power that God's love administered extravagantly by his people can have to change the trajectory of a life. Reading this story is hard as you are confronted with a reality of pain, abuse and neglect that some kids face daily. It is truly amazing that Jimmy Wayne survived to get to the point where an elderly couple took him in and loved him and believed in him finally helping him to see that God did love and value him.
I loved and I hated this book. I hated reading the first part of the book where Jimmy tells of his first 16 years of his life. It was painful, confronting and challenging. I loved the second part of the book where his life is changed by love and he goes on to seek God for how he can now help other kids who have lives like him. Powerful and again challenging. This is a life story that gives hope.
