Ongoing legacy
4 stars By Mark Catchpoole, Oct 07 2016
It has been ten years since Graham died. For many, and particularly his wife, Peggy, the loss of Graham remains as intense as ever. But the legacy of Graham's life and influence remains for many who came into contact with him. In these ten years, this book, the story of Graham's life, his faith in a sovereign yet gracious God, how he managed the disability of blindness, and his stubbornness to achieve all that he could despite many obstacles, has since encouraged and inspired many others, even though they may never have met him. Graham's story is by no means dated or obsolete, and perhaps in a world that is becoming increasingly complicated, confusing, and challenging, is one that is all the more relevant and helpful.

An inspirational read!
5 stars By Keith Noella , Oct 05 2016
It's been a decade since the author changed his place of lodging from earth to Heaven, but the legacy of Graham Laycock lives on with vibrance.

This was a man who 'walked by faith and not by sight.' Blind since the age of 9, Graham lived and died in sujch a manner as to inspire others from all walkes of life.

He is remembered for his great compassion, his life of joy, his sense of humour and for the way he faced life's challenges. He stepped into each day knowing that God went before him; God had his back covered and God was constantly by his side. This was a man not without fear, but who faced fear and challenge with strength of faith and dignity .. in other words .. true courage.

His legacy of inspiration lives on and is to be found within these pages .. let him encourage you.

Hope
4 stars By Julie, Mar 10 2014
I first met Graham at 15 years of age. His message was one of hope - one I really needed at that time. Reading his story brings inspiration to count one's blessings, persevere and reach for one's dreams. I'm sure every person who picks up this book will be encouraged and uplifted.

Review from Overseas
4 stars By CF, Sep 28 2009
Being a British physiotherapist working in Iraq certainly has its fair share of challenges. But in reading Graham's story I was reminded that the challenges we face can be overcome as we lean on our all-sufficient God and make sure we have the right attitude. I have always been of the opinion that impossible is not fact, but just someone?s opinion of a situation. As I read about Graham I was struck that this was a man who knew how to see the impossible happen. His life was an inspiration and I hope that the physiotherapists I work with in Iraq will be able to learn from Graham's life and the many challenges he faced and overcame. And, that no matter how difficult a start our life has had, it is possible to overcome and be a blessing to many people.

Well done Graham Laycock
4 stars By Graham Reid, Jul 25 2009
I met Graham Laycock at Perth Boys High School in the early 1950s. He and I shared a Scripture class together. Later I caught up with him again through a mutual friend, Frank Herbert, and connection with Christian Business Mens' Association. We all shared a Christian faith & playing music. Graham always seemed to have a very positive attitude & I remember him saying to me 'I'll see you later'.

I didn't know Graham all that well so it was great to be able to read about his life. The book is written in an easy reading style with many interesting incidents & it tells of someone who led a very full life & was faithful to his calling as a Christian. I am sure that he was an inspiration to many people, blind & sighted. He will be greatly missed by his wife, family & friends.
