BARBARA H. KNUCKLES is an artist who lives in Indianapolis. She and her husband, Ron, have three grown children.

Ruth Van Reken is an adult Third Culture Kid or TCK - a child who spends a significant period of time during his or her developmental years growing up in a culture outside the parents' culture - and for nearly thirty years has traveled extensively speaking and consulting about issues related to global family living. Ruth coined the term, Cross-Cultural Kids (CCKs) and is co-founder and past chair of the annual Families in Global Transition conference. Her many writings include co-authoring Third Culture Kids: Growing Up Among Worlds (revised 2009), Letters Never Sent, and chapters in Writing Out of Limbo and Unrooted Childhoods.
