just perfect
5 stars By Marija, Jul 01 2017
I absolutely loved this book. I've always been fascinated with the 1940s, and Sarah Sundin brought the era to life: the fashions, music, dancing, and the characters' determination to live life to the full even in the midst of a world at war. I loved Mellie and Tom's story: it is so sweet and heart-warming and guaranteed to leave a smile on your face. I am definitely looking forward to reading the rest of the books in the series.

This is a fantastic series! I read all three in 4 days. Mind you I had a broken elbow at the time. But seriously this series is the best I have read in a long time.

A brilliant romance
5 stars By beachgirl80, Feb 20 2014
This is the first book I had read by Sarah Sundin. I loved it. I haven't read a lot of books set during World War II but I found it absorbing, loved the different exotic locations you got to read about and enjoyed getting an insight into this era. More than this I found the main characters interesting and relatable. I enjoyed getting to know their strengths and flaws, and witness their growth and the development of their relationship through the novel. I've now bought the second book in this series and I'm hanging out for the third to be released. I highly recommend reading this book
