Helps understand other's walk with God
5 stars By Mark, Dec 10 2015
OK so this book was helpful in identifying which picture I have of God - and is a useful tool in discerning how others relate to God. Since reading it I've been asking friends some questions which gives insight to which of Skye's categories they fall under. The ultimate aim is to help move people (including Christians who aren't experiencing God) from the darkness to the light, which is a 'with God' posture. Worth your time!

'With' is a timeless and essential piece of work that is for anyone who craves depth, authenticity, and seeing more of the endless dimensions of who God is.
Skye Jethani writes in a way that is not only easy to digest, but takes the reader on a refreshing journey that captures the depth of their spirit and enables them to have their imagination sparked into greater levels of creativity, freedom, joy, and authentic faith. With writing that exudes great grace, understanding, and compassion, the invitation to start walking 'with' and enjoying our Creator becomes more than a duty or idea, but the lifeblood we're all yearning for.
If you have always wondered if there was more to this thing called 'faith' and have desired to have your longings for more of Jesus fulfilled, your life could just well be changed and you could hear the Holy Spirit in a new way through this stunning book. Very insightful and beautifully crafted - and one you'll most likely consume in a few hours in a cosy nook. Highly recommend!

Skye Jethani, author of With: Reimagining the way you relate to God writes in a convincing way in helping us question our integrity in how humans have viewed God. This book really got me rethinking of the way I see God. In the book the author explains five postures : Life Under, Life Over, Life from, Life for and the one we should aim for Life with God. The writer explains all stem (except latter) from a means to obtain control and make sense of our life’s chaos. The thing that really challenged my thinking of relating to God is the book’s main concept a Life with God - is the way we are meant to relate to God and is ultimately about surrendering control of our lives. The writer explains, “Faith is the opposite of seeking control. It is surrendering control. It embraces the truth that control is an illusion - we never had it and we never will”. How profound this is, it is worthy of contemplation and application into life. I would recommend this book highly, great to read and let it’s message really sink in - a life with God.
