Every day the small wooden people called Wemmicks do the same thing: stick either gold stars or grey dots on one another. The pretty ones - and talented ones always get stars. Those who can do little or who have chipped paint, get ugly grey dots, just like Punchinello. In this heart-warming children's tale from the best selling pen of Max Lucado, Eli the woodcarver helps Punchinello understand how special he is - no matter what other Wemmicks may think. It's a vital message for children everywhere: that they are special in God's eyes. This beautifully illustrated tale reminds your children that, no matter how the world evaluates them, God loves them just as they are

The little wooden people called Wemmicks scurry about their days doing what they always do: sticking gold stars on the pretty and talented Wemmicks or gray dots on those who make mistakes. But now the stickering is all the more important. The Festival is at hand. That means that the envied Most Stars Award and the dreaded Most Dots Award are about to be given out. And poor Punchinello is sure to be a shoo-in for the Most Dots. But thanks to a new friend, he is about to learn a very important lesson that kids of all ages need to hear: no matter how others judge their worth, God cherishes each of them just as they are. Now this award-winning story, drawn from the classic bestseller, comes to life in this fully animated video with songs for your kids to sing along with. They'll love it because it's so much fun. You'll love it because of the eternal truth it teaches them: You Are Precious in His Sight.

This book is a great book to read because it tells us that we are special in Gods eyes and what other people think doesn't change that.

Purchased for a christening gift, lovely illustrations, easy to read text, such a beautiful meaning that all children should have. Nice large space to write your own message inside the cover.

Great for kids and adults too
5 stars By AceoftheHouse, Oct 19 2017
The book is good for kids and adults too because it reinforces God's love for us all. It tells us that like Punchinello, we are special just because God made us. Every turn, there are two pages....on the right is a drawing while on the left is a short paragraph with large fonts. This book is great to put toddlers to sleep. The book is short but it has a very calming effect.

You are special
5 stars By Pamela Whitelaw, Jul 17 2017
I love this book. I give it as a gift to people I know who are having a rough time to let them know that there is a God. A God who loves them and will not judge them. I have lost count of how many I have given as gifts

Powerful
5 stars By Bri, Feb 05 2017
I love how this simple story conveys to kids the importance of just being themselves and knowing they don't have to be the same as everyone else, because God loves them just as they are. It's a story of God's love in fiction form to convey the truth to kids
