Definitions

Within these Terms of Sale:

  • ā€œAccountsā€ refers to the personal account made by you with Koorong
  • ā€œDelivery Chargeā€ is the purchase of how Goods are delivered to you
  • ā€œDigital Productā€ applies to eBooks, eAudio, digital gift cards, and tickets
  • ā€œGoodsā€ is any product you purchase from Koorong
  • ā€œPasswordā€ is the password needed to access your Koorong account
  • ā€œWebsiteā€ refers to koorong.com.au

Your legal rights

Certain laws, including, but not limited to, the Australian Consumer Law, will apply to your purchase of Goods. You have certain rights under Australian Consumer Law, including that the Goods must be of acceptable quality, reasonably fit for the use that Koorong claims they would be fit for, and that the Goods will correspond to any relevant description. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions should be interpreted or applied in such a way that it excludes, restricts, or modifies the law. For more information visit www.consumer.gov.au.

Pricing and taxes

  1. All prices are shown on the website.
  2. Koorong retains the right to change the prices of Goods at any time and without giving prior notice. Even if the price changes before an Order is accepted, the price indicated when you place an order will continue to apply.

  3. You must pay the advertised Delivery Charge (if applicable) in addition to the price of the Goods. Any additional delivery charges will be displayed in your shopping basket. Koorong only ships to specific locations in Australia.

  4. You may be required to pay additional delivery charges not reflected in your shopping basket, which may be due to you living in an area where light aircraft or barge transport is necessary or where our couriers do not provide door-to-door service ("Additional Delivery Charge"). Christmas Island, Norfolk Island, and distant portions of Queensland and the Northern Territory are just a few examples (refer to the delivery and shipping information). Such charges may apply even if the item is marked as having "free delivery," "free freight," or something similar on the Website.

  5. By ordering a product, you agree to pay:

    1. The price of the Product

    2. Additional Delivery Charges

  6. All prices and Delivery Charges are in Australian Dollars, including Goods Service Tax (GST).

Your Koorong account

  1. When placing an order, you can use your Koorong account. Alternatively, you can place an order using a guest account.
  2. You must not set up an account for another person.

  3. When making an account, please double-check all your information. Ensure that all information you supply in correlation to your Account to Koorong is correct, complete, and up to date.

  4. If you become aware of any real or prospective unauthorised use of your Password or Account, you must immediately contact Koorong.

  5. Unless otherwise required by law (including, without limitation, the Australian Consumer Law), Koorong will not be liable to you or any other person for any loss, damage, cost, or expense incurred as a direct or indirect result of:

    1. your Account information is incomplete or inaccurate, or

    2. any unauthorised use of your Password or Account before you notify Koorong

  6. If Koorong suffers any loss, damage, cost, or expense due to any unauthorised use of your Password or Account that occurs before you inform Koorong, you shall reimburse Koorong for that loss, damage, cost, or expense if requested.

Orders

  1. If accepted by Koorong, each order you place will constitute a separate and binding agreement between you and Koorong for supplying the relevant Goods in line with these Terms and Conditions.
  2. Koorong is not liable for lost or damaged products if the Order information is inaccurate and incomplete.
  3. You can order on the Koorong website, in-store, or over the phone.
  4. Ensure all personal details are filled correctly before placing an order, as Koorong cannot compensate for lost Goods.
  5. Please double-check your order (including the quantity ordered) before submitting it, as once Koorong has accepted it, it may not be able to be modified or cancelled. If the order has not yet been dispatched, Koorong will use reasonable efforts to cancel or alter it, but it is out of our control once shipped.
  6. There may be times with order that Goods arrive separately depending on where it is dispatched.
  7. Koorong reserves the right to accept or reject your offer at its sole discretion. Koorong may, but is not obligated to, refuse Orders for commercial quantities of Goods. Please get in touch with us if you wish to order commercial quantities of Goods.
  8. Due to unforeseen internet/technical issues, you acknowledge when purchasing a product that the order will sometimes not be received, misdirected or delayed.
  9. Before placing an Order on behalf of a person, you must obtain their consent to share personal information. By placing an order on their behalf, you verify with Koorong that you have done so.
  10. Backorders are paid upfront and held for three months. Backorders can be cancelled anytime, and the customer will receive a refund of the cancelled item/s. Customers will be refunded automatically when:
    1. Three months have elapsed, and

    2. The supplier has not shipped the product.

  11. Pre-orders are paid upfront and held for 12 months. Pre-orders can be cancelled anytime, and the customer will receive a refund of the cancelled item/s. Customers will be refunded automatically when:
    1. 12 months have elapsed, and

    2. The supplier has not shipped the product.

  12. You must take precautions to ensure that your network and devices are protected when using our website to purchase.

After you have submitted an order or payment

  1. Once an online order is submitted, the ā€˜Order Reference Numberā€™ will be displayed alongside the information emailed and texted to you on your phone.
  2. Koorong will process the payment of your online order shortly after it is submitted; however, if in an unforeseen circumstance, the Order is cancelled, the fee will not be charged. If already set, the payment will be refunded.
  3. Once an order is submitted, Koorong must provide the Goods of an acceptable quality that reasonably fits the use that Koorong claims they would be suitable for.
  4. Goods must be paid by either Credit Card, PayPal, Account Payments, Pay by Phone, Pay by Fax, Pay by Mail or BPAY.
  5. Koorong is entitled to change the medium through which the payment is accessed.
  6. Koorong has the right to decline an Order if the funds within the account are insufficient, there are signs of fraud, the payment is expired, and the Bank through which the order goes rejects it.
  7. Goods will not be dispatched until the payment is complete.

Cancellation of orders

  1. You will be notified of an Order Cancellation and will be completely refunded if the payment was processed.
  2. Koorong is entitled to cancel any order before its delivery, reasons being but not limited to there are not enough Goods, in the event of a natural disaster or Government mandate, or an error on the website.
  3. You are entitled to cancel any order before its delivery if it does not arrive at the scheduled time, if paid for Quicker Delivery Charges, or if there has been a breach in the Terms and Conditions.

Availability of goods

  1. Koorong is not liable for any damages or losses concerning there being an insufficient amount of stock.
  2. Stock will not always be available in-store and/or online.
  3. Koorong retains the right to suspend any Goods permanently without prior notice.

Delivery

  1. Goods will be delivered to Australia and Overseas, but there are certain remote areas we cannot deliver to.
  2. Once a Good has left the warehouse, you will be notified via email or SMS.
  3. You may be required to sign a Proof of Delivery Document once the Goods have arrived. If not there to sign, it will be taken to the closest Post Office.

Click and Collect

  1. If you have ordered a Good not already in store, you will be notified via email or SMS when it is ready to pick up.
  2. Some Goods may not be available to pick up in-store (i.e., Digital Products).
  3. You must first show proof of purchase and identification to receive the Goods. If you cannot satisfy these requirements, Koorong employees must refuse collection.

Refunds

  1. Koorong offers a ā€œ60-Day Money Back Guaranteeā€ on in-store and online purchases. The item must be in resalable condition with the receipt used to purchase.
  2. Koorong does not refund shipping costs on ordered products.
  3. Koorongā€™s ā€œ60-Day Money Back Guaranteeā€ does not apply to eAudio Books and tickets.
  4. Backorders can be cancelled anytime, and the customer will receive a refund of the cancelled item/s. Customers will be refunded automatically when:
    1. Three months have elapsed, and

    2. The supplier has not shipped the product.

  5. Pre-orders can be cancelled anytime, and the customer will receive a refund of the cancelled item/s. Customers will be refunded automatically when:
    1. 12 months have elapsed, and

    2. the supplier has not shipped the product.

  6. Refund will be in Australian Dollars.

Returns for faulty or damaged goods

Once your order has arrived, you should check to see if it is what you ordered or if it is damaged or faulty. If your order contains incorrect, damaged or faulty goods, please get in touch with Koorong.

If you are unsatisfied with your Koorong Product you can return it within 60 days if you still have proof of purchase, and it is in a resaleable condition.

Koorong does not allow returns on Digital products such as - eBooks, eAudio Books and tickets.
